American Library Joins Calcutta Book Fair This Year
Calcutta -- The American Information Resource Center (AIRC), popularly known as the American Library, is participating in the 31st Calcutta Book Fair this year after a hiatus of several years.
Newly arrived collections on some of today's hottest business topics - computer technology and management, replete with training guides and manuals, will be on display at the American Center stall. The pavilion will be a miniaturized AIRC with facilities for spot membership. Individuals and institutions will receive substantial discounts when they approach the AIRC librarians for memberships at the fair pavilion. U.S. Embassy's prestigious and classy publication SPAN will also be available for subscription at discounted rates at the stall.
The AIRC participation is going to be a great opportunity for book buffs who are interested in knowing more about the contemporary American society and about life in the United States. They will be able to access the catalogs of all the four American libraries in India. Internet connectivity will also be available to locate specific information. The librarians will be available to answer questions related to the library products and services offered, and they will also demonstrate the various databases and CD-ROM resources.
