USEFI ORGANIZES "PALETTE 2008" FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS AT AMERICAN CENTER, JANUARY 23

Kolkata -- The United States Educational Foundation in India (USEFI) will organize the 4th annual USEFI-High Schools partnership program on Wednesday, January 23. This program will be a painting competition titled "Palette 2008." The competition will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the American Center, 38A Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Kolkata.
Students in classes 8-11 will be eligible to participate in the competition. However, their names must be submitted by their institutions and only one student per school will be allowed to register. The first 25 schools to register one of their students will participate in the competition. USEFI reserves the right to select the finalized list of participants. Those wishing to participate must report promptly to the American Center by 9:30 a.m. on January 23.
USEFI will announce the theme for the painting at the beginning of the competition and provide painting board and paper. Participants can use only the following materials: watercolors, acrylic colors, crayons, and pastels. Students and teachers of the participating institutions are welcome to attend the prize distribution
at 1:00 p.m.
