Warden Message

Dear American Citizens:

In response to a growing American and expatriate community in Kolkata and East India, the Consulate General Kolkata, with the support of the American Embassy School New Delhi, U.S. Embassy New Delhi and the Department of State's Office of Overseas Schools is establishing an American School Kolkata (ASK).   The school is scheduled to open August 2007.

The school will start small, primarily servicing grades K-2 but possibly up to grade 4, based on demand.  It will be an extension of the American Embassy School New Delhi.  As student numbers increase, it will be established as a separate institution, with additional class grades.

Attached is an electronic brochure with more information on the school.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact school officials by e-mail at ask@aes.ac.in or contact the U.S. Consulate General Kolkata by telephone at (33) 3984-2400.

Sincerely,

Henry V. Jardine
U.S. Consul General
Kolkata, India
