Visa Fees

Nonimmigrant Visa applicants must submit two fees:

The fees are :

• An Application Fee:  Rs.6,026/-                    
  This fee must be paid at designated branches of HDFC Bank and the receipt (in duplicate) featuring two yellow bar code stickers, must be submitted at the Consulate on the day of interview. This fee is non refundable and alongwith this VFS Service Charge (additional fee of Rs.322/- inclusive of Service Tax @ 10% and Education Cess Tax @0.2%) would need to be paid at HDFC Bank towards online or phone-in information, assistance with making appointments and return by courier of passports with your visa.
                        
  
• Persons applying for "blanket" L-1 visas must pay $500 "fraud prevention and detection fee" at the time they make their visa application. Only the principal applicant applying for the L-1 visa needs to pay this fee. The fee does not apply to any spouse or children applying for a L-2 visa. This fee must be paid via a bank draft for Rs. 23,000/- made out to the American Consulate General, Kolkata.
