MAIL - LOAN SERVICES

The library offers mail-loan privileges to members residing in Eastern India, outside Calcutta. Mail loan is available to library members in the states of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand ,Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Orissa, Sikkim, Tripura, West Bengal (outside Calcutta) and also Bhutan.

Enrollment forms may be obtained by writing to the American Information Resource Center.Members may borrow four books at a time for eight weeks, including postal transit time. Books are sent by Registered Parcel Post, and the borrower must return the same at his or her own expense by Registered Parcel Post. Other rules and regulations are identical to those for borrowers in the Calcutta area.

No printed catalog of the library's holdings is available, but the librarian will be glad to prepare short lists of books on a particular subject or select books for outstation patrons.
